APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is offered in clinic and community-based settings, such as schools. ABA is scientific approach of treatment to address the core deficits of autism, such as: language development, communication, social interactions, repetitive patterns of behavior, and maladaptive behavior. Natural Environment Teaching (NET) involves teaching through play in the child's natural environment. ABA utilizes positive reinforcement and other behavior modifications to shape responding.
INDIVIDUALIZED ASSESSMENTS
Each child will receive an individualized assessment that is tailored to their needs. We utilize the Verbal Behavior Milestone Assessments and Placements (VB-MAPP), Socially Savvy, and Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABBLS).
PARENT SUPPORT
Collaboration is such an important part of your child’s success as you are a part of the treatment team. Parent support will aid in managing and decreasing problem behaviors, learning how to communicate with your child, and understanding how your child learns.
“If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach in the way the child can learn."
